Teacher Yang Jinrong was born in Johor Bahru in 1976 and is a famous young calligrapher in my country. For more than 20 years, Teacher Yang has been teaching calligraphy tirelessly and is committed to promoting the art of calligraphy and promoting the unity of my country's three major ethnic groups. He is the chairman of the Johor Bahru Joint Committee of the Malaysian Calligraphy Association and the director of the Johor Bahru Calligraphy Museum. He is also one of the consultants for the construction of our Chinese Humanistic Stele Forest and has made great contributions to the establishment of the local Stele Forest.

‍

On July 10, 2020, the sad news of Teacher Yang’s sudden death shocked the literary and art world.

‍

In order to commemorate and praise his contribution to our Chinese Humanistic Stele Forest, we spent more than a year engraving his last official calligraphy work on the stone tablet, so that his spirit will forever remain in our Chinese Humanistic Stele Forest.

‍

At 10:30 a.m. on May 14, 2023 (Sunday), we held a solemn and grand unveiling ceremony of the calligraphy monument for him at the Chinese Humanistic Stele Forest. We invited his relatives and friends to attend and witness this historic moment together.

‍

Although Teacher Yang Jinrong is gone, his spirit will live on forever.
