Curated Stillness

Let these collections be more than a display—let them be a wandering, a quiet gaze. Here, every stroke is a whisper of time, leading you into the boundless river of the written word.

Kim Eung-Heon: Kai Shu Couplet

Kim Eung-Heon was born in Seoul, Korea. Kim was a prominent literary intellectual in Korea, being the President of the Korean Association of Oriental Culture Studies and Korean Seal Carving Association. He is aptly regarded as the greatest calligrapher in Korea in the modern era for his profound influential role. He was conferred the ‘Honorary Member’ of the Chinese Calligraphers Association in February 1976. In 1997, Kim was honoured with the ‘Korean Art and Cultural Legacy’ medal. Kim published academic papers on ‘the Symposium on the Oriental Calligraphy’, ‘The Book and The Calligrapher’, and ‘The Beauty of Oriental Calligraphy’. Kim specialized in Xing and Cao calligraphy, Wei Dynasty inspired Seal Carving and ‘Li Shu’ calligraphy. His calligraphy is deemed vigorous and fluid, delivered through dynamic brushstrokes. His vibrant calligraphy works sum up the highest realm of calligraphy.
