Overview: Chen Guang Shi’s ancestral origin referred to Yong Chun, Fu Jian. He was an ardent calligrapher, seal-carving expert and painter. The committee member of the Calligraphy Development Committee, Malaysian Institute of Art, was one of the notable judges for many national calligraphy contests. He had held a long list of exhibitions of his works across Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Tahiti. Chen was mesmerized by the mastery of Tang Dynasty’s Yan Zhen Qing and Pan Shou of the modern era. This masterpiece clearly showcases his fluidity and integrity as if it were accomplished in one breath. The strokes appear to be well-satiated and robust, supple and fetching. It conjures up a picture of tranquility and affection.
